Blade Technician(s) - Immediate availability

About the role(s)
We are currently looking for Blade technicians.
- Our ideal candidate would be an experienced fibreglass/composite technicians ideally with previous wind experience. As a blade repair technician, you will be required to travel extensively throughout Australia to customer sites primarily in regional areas and perform inspections, basic cosmetic through to complex structural repairs on wind turbine blades and other composite components.
- As the role entails extensive travel to different sites you will be constantly having to adapt to new working environments and customer requirements, therefore a flexible and professional approach is essential. In this role you will often be unsupervised, working in a remote location, in varying weather conditions and within a small team of minimum two people so a high regard for safety, quality and teamwork is a must.
- Perform composite inspection & repairs according to specified instructions
- Prepare applicable documentation and reports including details of inspection or repairs
- Uphold a safe and hazard free working environment
- Ensure site rules, regulations and procedures are always followed
- Communicate with customers in a professional and polite manner
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude on and off site
- Communicate appropriately and routinely with management team
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working alone or with a team
- Have an open mind and willingness to learn new work methods/techniques
- Exercise due care and take reasonable steps to look after company property
- Perform other duties as determined by the company from time to time
What you will bring
To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess the following:
- Experience in composite repair, refurbishment and finishing
- Wind turbine blade repair experience
- Working at heights and rescue from heights or GWO qualification
- Valid First aid qualification
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Willingness to travel
- Current driver licence
- Excellent work ethic and ''can do'' attitude
- Trade qualified in a composite related field such as: Aerospace, marine, automotive.
- IRATA Rope access or high-risk elevated work platform qualification above 11m
- Valid Confined Space qualification
- Good knowledge in working with PC and Microsoft Office
